After the nice circle at Kiteland Cottages, Hampshire, on the 3rd of July, as an introduction to Quadrality, we are now presented with a beautiful crop circle showing how to balance duality as threefoldness, or triality (trinity), appearing at Lay Wood on the 14th of July.
A modern 21st century Alchemy is not only showing us how to interpret and understand these crop circles but also how to understand all of quantum physics, the universe, and all of life. We are at an exciting turning point in our evolution, a paradigm shift where a whole new form of spiritual science is unfolding that will leave the old, outdated science of the 20th century behind and create a new science that is focused on a new future. It is about mixing fire and water, male and female, and matter and antimatter in a way that will produce the spiritual gold of transformation and enlightenment.
This amazing painting by Jofhra Bosschart shows us clearly how balancing a duality always gives us the third aspect of a triality, the balancing point. The balancing of sun and moon, male and female, light and dark, fire and water. There is duality appearing everywhere in the painting, left and right, with the balance in the middle of the picture. The weighing of the human soul by Thoth and Isis holding the scales with a feather on the left and a human heart on the right. Red and blue representing fire and water join in the clouds of yin and yang under the weighing scales. Originally one of the 12 paintings done for a series of zodiac art this was the depiction of Libra, balance.
To understand the meaning of Life, human consciousness, it is necessary to understand our universe, which has the direct difficulty that we are not outside looking in, we are inside trying to look out. So, when we look around us here in this world we see everything else outside of our self and only our own personal self on the inside. By understanding this duality we can make our first step towards understanding all of the other dualities and return to Oneness. You can't look outside of the oneness of the universe but you can look outside of the oneness of yourself, so by fully understanding who you are on the inside, and knowing that you are connected with the universal oneness you can become that oneness. This is as much a journey into yourself as it is a journey to fully understand what is outside yourself, or as final goal. . . what is outside in the Universe.
Returning to oneness from the world of duality in which we currently live is not as easy as it sounds. The only one who can truly ever see this oneness is the creator itself. You need to be outside of the whole to ever be able to see its true oneness, or you need to become the oneness itself and look into yourself, which is the same thing. One of the most obvious dualities is that of Light and darkness. Clearly if you remove all light it becomes dark, however in Alchemy the background condition of the Universe is darkness, always. It is only when we create light, using the energy of a star, or our sun, that you will enlighten the darkness. Darkness is a real thing (and not simply the absence of light) created wherever matter is present, it takes light to overcome darkness and allow us to see matter.
Escaping duality, back to oneness, back to the Light, takes us out of this world, however we can always seek to reach a first feeling of oneness, with the all that is, by balancing duality with a third aspect like we see with this new crop circle at Lay Wood. We can also reach a new sort of balance where we double the duality creating quadrality, as shown by this similar crop circle from 2020 at Devizes.
Only when we leave the earthly realm and become One again with the Universe will we become Oneness itself, we will be back with the Creator instead of only being the created, no longer trapped in duality. The old alchemical drawing shown here depicts this duality perfectly, only the world above is in the Oneness, in the world below everything is duality. On one side of the world below we see the Sun, fire and masculinity, man and on the other-side the Moon, water and femininity, woman. Both the man and the woman are chained to the ever-turning seasons, to the turning of the heavens, the oneness above.
To move from this duality back to oneness in this physical reality is not possible, even though it is desired by many seekers and promoted by many teachers. The moment you move into oneness you become One with everything that there is, everywhere, you become Oneness itself, you become the Creator. So, even if you find yourself closing your eyes and sinking into oneness (which is possible within yourself) the moment you open your eyes again you discover the reality of duality staring back at you. The harshest of all dualities, that of Life and Death, is just one of the many dualities that you face everyday. To be outside of Life is one way to overcome duality, however you will no longer have access to the sensory perceptions that you need to confirm which sort of oneness you find yourself in; a life before birth into this world, a life after death or some sort of unconscious experience in this life.
In our world of reality we are constantly balancing the two sides of every duality, but we never become one or the other even though some things give the impression of being singularities (one-sided infinities) such as gravity, entropy and time. And we never become the oneness itself. . . but we are working on it.
This drawing could be representing the oneness of our Universe. Yet you can see an outer circle and an inner circle, which could be an outer infinity and an inner infinity. Between these two infinities there is a world of reality that is cut off from these two infinities by a definite inner boundary and an outer boundary. By balancing the inner and outer worlds we have created a separated world for ourselves, our own matrix, our own reality cut off from the whole by the two boundaries. If you were to live in the outer reality or the inner reality you would also be cut off from the whole.
Mixing Fire and water is one of the absolute principles of Alchemy and is actually more fundamental than the old medieval goal of turning base metals into gold. We are talking about joining two opposites, about creating oneness again from a duality. And as you can see from this old 18th century painting of the Alchemist at work in his studio creating oneness from a duality is not possible in the physical world, even though many people tried very hard to achieve this goal, they either gave up, or died, in a form of eccentric madness, or they eventually discovered that they needed to project themselves above the physical. Into the dimension above this physical reality, the spirit realm, known to Alchemy as the Etheric or Ether Realm, the Seas Above. Even to this day we find it very difficult to believe in this step, but we also find very few alchemists still experimenting in such a laboratory, alchemy is now called chemistry and has become a very one-sided science that mixes already well known chemicals into marketable potions with the goal of earning ordinary dollars.
Our complete Universe is one whole, it is oneness itself. The only one who can truly ever see this oneness is the creator itself. You need to be outside of the whole to ever be able to see its true oneness, or you need to become the oneness itself and look into yourself, which is the same thing. This is the ultimate duality that we are in: outside the whole is one-thing and inside the whole is every-thing. Outside and Inside is a duality that we also call the zero dimension (this is the real fourth dimension). Ever understanding this duality is more of a philosophical quest than a scientific one. Our journey is one that takes us deep into the Philosophy of Duality.
